4.在许多未信亲友出席的聚会中,怎样的祷告才是适宜的?
i.我个人认为,要看教育程度。还是老样子,教育水平高的牧者要下功夫学习世界很多方面的知识,护教学与思维辩论就变得很重要。反之,教育水平低的,要有谦卑的心态,遇到被骂不要回应,怎么对人很重要,对非信徒的完全谦卑服侍很重要,来融化他们的心。另外,我的教会每一个星期都有自由给人家上台讲见证,不要求有讲稿,不要求讲很好,因为讲得不通顺的见证往往让人知道这些见证不经过设计,反而更达到人心,内容不好也不要紧,小孩子上台也不要紧。牧者要教导如何做见证,组长要教导信徒如何做见证,这样牧师的教导才能传承。见证在华人社会很重要,因为华人对于见证很重视。只是,卫理公会的崇拜好像没有这样的东西。
ii.怎样的信息只要是上帝的信息就好。怎么讲才是更重要。深入浅出很重要,特别是不同年龄层在一起崇拜。不要让人有太多遐想的空间,就是直接比喻出来。如果说东方博士从东方来,那么就说槟城到新加坡那么远,再把这个距离想象成是沙漠。不要让人家有太多想象力去想象那个东方有多远。同样的,上帝拯救,就直接当场问一个人如果要你的独生子生命献出来拯救KL人。如果可以,直接引述当场出席者的见证让自己的讲道强而有力。华人非常注重牧者是否有行道?其他信徒是否有行道?所以时常要引述信徒的好见证,证明圣经的话不是骗人的。
iii.基督教术语(代替用词):恩典(白白牺牲),拯救(代替你我的罪),圣灵(上帝的灵),背起十字架(为上帝受苦),以马内利(上帝与我同在),哈里路亚(赞美神),主日(星期天),崇拜(敬拜上帝),主日学(圣经学习班),退修会(生活营),信主(原意让上帝在自己的生命成为王)......其实还有很多,如果记得再补充。不要以为非信徒知道,其实他们刚踏入教会是不明白这些字的意义的。
iv.尽量避免太多的修饰和太长,非信徒等不及你祷告,因为他等的时候很闷(因为没有参与在其中),很烦(因为你做的事情违背他本身的宗教)。
